AXA XL is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our International Financial Lines team, focusing on Management Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver profitable underwriting services to clients, including reviewing complex submissions, conducting research, and determining risk premiums.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, providing input on risk management and insurance solutions.
  • Monitor underwriting and financial metrics to ensure contribution to business unit profitability.
  • Support business reporting, planning, and forecasting processes.
  • Maintain awareness of all claims advised and provide input on settlement as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and proven underwriting experience in relevant classes of business.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and use judgment to identify and solve day-to-day problems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with brokers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of financial targets and levers to deliver on departmental business plan.
