
Insurance Business Development Professional

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Business Development Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complicated insurance products and the ability to create effective marketing strategies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing business development plans to sell insurance plans to new clients or up-sell to current clients. They will meet potential clients to discuss their insurance needs, research all available policy options, negotiate with underwriters, and present policy details to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and implementing business development strategies to sell insurance plans
- Meeting clients to discuss insurance needs and preferences
- Researching and recommending insurance policies
- Negotiating with underwriters to secure competitive pricing
- Presenting policy details to clients and handling premium payments
- Advising clients on insurance policy conditions, risks covered, and benefits
- Managing insurance claims and ensuring fair dealing
In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also oversee client relationships, update existing policies, and prepare reports for underwriters.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field
- At least three years of experience in a similar role, which may substitute for formal qualifications
- 2 years full-time relevant work experience
- WA Workers compensation experience
- Premium Funding placement experience
- Winbeat/Sunrise & SCTP experience is highly desirable
