About the role

As an Insurance Building Supervisor/Estimator at WA Insurance Builders', you will play a vital role in overseeing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates and reports. This full-time position, and is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and reports for insurance claims and construction & renovation projects
  • Supervise construction teams and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor costings, to ensure that the project is delivered ontime and within budget
  • Liaise with Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Customers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Ensure all construction work complies with relevant building codes and regulations
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to insurers and their customers
  • Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment

What we're looking for

  • Prior experience as a building supervisor or estimator in the construction industry
  • Prior experience within the insurance industry - estimator, supervisor, project manager, assessor etc.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients and subcontractors
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety requirements
