About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Mechanic/Service Technician to join our team at Crown Equipment Pty Ltd - Australia. As a key member of our service team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service to our customers and contributing to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and Repair of Material Handling Equipment: You will be responsible for servicing and repairing material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base, helping Crown build positive customer experiences.
  • Utilization of Field-Based Mobile Technology: You will utilize the latest field-based mobile technology to assist you in managing your daily work schedule and delivering a professional level of service.
  • Inventory Management: You will be responsible for inventory input on your Company allocated service van and customer sites.
  • Customer Service: You will provide high-level customer service to help our customers solve their material handling needs.
  • Training and Development: You will have access to industry-leading training and development opportunities, including potential opportunities to train less experienced service technicians in more complex aspects of service and repair work in the field.
Requirements
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: You will need to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and be able to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You will need to have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: You will need to have good communication and customer service skills.
