Role Objective: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support the repair and maintenance of products received at the Service Centre and in various operational settings.

  2. Friday: 6am - 12pm
  3. Opportunity for weekly overtime
  4. All necessary uniforms, tools, and PPE provided

Key Duties:
  1. Disassemble, repair, and document the condition of pumps at our Service Centre.
  2. Ensure all products are maintained and repaired according to the Service Centre Quality Manual.
  3. Propose enhancements for existing products, services, and processes.
  4. Actively participate in the implementation of the Weir Production System at the Rebuild Centre.
  5. Provide support at mine sites during shutdowns, including disassembly, repair, and reporting on customer pumps.
  6. Occasionally perform repairs at customer locations.
  7. Travel to customer sites as needed, with potential overnight stays.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning.
  2. Proven experience in mechanical fitting within workshop and field environments.
  3. Experience in leading and mentoring fellow fitters.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  5. High Risk Forklift license - mandatory.
  6. Overhead crane and dogging certification - highly preferred.
  7. Valid Driver's License.
