About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Claims Manager to join our Member Insurance & Claims team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims on behalf of the Trustee, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing all claim types and claims handling activities from lodgment through to decision by the insurer or the Trustee.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including members, beneficiaries, employers, insurers, and the medical community.
  • Resolving issues preventing claim progress and finalisation, ensuring excellent service to Australian Retirement Trust customers and third parties.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in death and/or insurance claims handling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
  • Business and commercial acumen, with the ability to communicate complex issues and assess risk.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
