We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to provide exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in people's lives, promoting independence and dignity.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality personal care services, including assistance with daily activities, personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more. You will work closely with registered nurses to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented and maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care and support to clients in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.
- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Work collaboratively with the client's care team to identify and address any emerging care needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence and self-care.
Requirements:
- Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent).
- Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005] certifications.
- A roadworthy vehicle with a current driver's license.
- NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong expertise in mental health care and person-centred approaches.
