Corporate & Commercial Team Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to join our Corporate & Commercial team in our Sydney office. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to three Partners and the lawyers within the team, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Main Responsibilities:
• General file maintenance, including regular filing, opening, and closing files.
• Telephone handling, including answering incoming calls, taking detailed messages, and making outgoing calls as required.
• Drafting and preparation of emails, letters, and documents.
• Liaising with other staff, Partners, and Corporate Services areas, such as Document Support, Accounts, Mailroom, Reception, and Catering.
• Basic research using the internet and library.
• Assisting the Business Development team with tender submissions and client information.
• Preparation of presentations (internal and external).
• Email and diary management.
• Preparation of bills and coordinating client-specific billing requirements.
• General legal assistant overflow management and support.
• Maintaining Partners/lawyers' contacts in our firm's CRM, InterAction, including assisting with list management for events and communications.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of two years' experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in a commercial law firm. You will possess strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be reliable, punctual, flexible, and able to demonstrate initiative when providing support to fee earners.
