
Strategic Leader in Health and Wellbeing

About the Position:
The Director of Health and Wellbeing will provide strategic leadership in the implementation, evaluation and promotion of health and wellbeing initiatives for medical staff across Sydney Local Health District. This role will contribute high level managerial support and project management expertise to ensure effective delivery of strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include enhancing health, recovery and staff engagement through various initiatives. The successful candidate will lead diverse and multidisciplinary teams in achieving strategic and program objectives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and wellbeing strategy that addresses the needs of medical staff
- Lead the development and delivery of wellness programs, particularly those focused on physical activity and health education
- Establish partnerships with stakeholders to promote health and wellbeing initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities and a commitment to medical staff wellbeing. They will have qualifications in a health or exercise related discipline and/or equivalent work experience, operational experience with medical staff being beneficial.
A strong working knowledge of wellness programs, particularly those focused on health education and disease prevention, is essential. Experience in establishing an integrative approach to health and wellbeing for staff within a busy and complex organisation is also desirable.
