Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner Role

We are seeking a proactive, experienced and strategic thinking Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide support across all aspects of our HSW strategy, policy, and practice. This role is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of safety are met across the organisation, facilitating hazard identification activities, operational risk assessments and other compliance activities such as audits. Additionally, this role will contribute to the development and implementation of key health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and programs, assist in the establishment and rollout of key safety initiative education and awareness programs, and complete incident investigations and assist to identify and implement corrective actions.

This role requires strong influencing skills to effectively engage with and coach stakeholders across the organisation, as well as experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Cert. IV HSW or significant demonstrated experience in a similar position. Experience within Human Services/Health Care or Aged Care industry is also an advantage.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the highest standards of safety are met across the organisation
  • Support front line leaders and employees to enable implementation of our Safety Management System across all levels of the organisation
  • Facilitate and complete hazard identification activities, operational risk assessments and other compliance activities such as audits
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of key health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and programs
  • Assist in the establishment and rollout of key safety initiative education and awareness programs
  • Complete incident investigations and assist to identify and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Cert. IV HSW or significant demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Experience in delivering education and training programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a team to achieve deadlines and targets
  • Previous experience within Human Services/Health Care or Aged Care industry - Advantage
