As a strategic growth leader, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and driving new business opportunities.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for leading regional teams in pursuing high-profile remedial projects across various sectors, including industrial, marine, mining, and commercial building. You will be expected to develop strong relationships with clients, analyze local market trends, and maintain a competitive edge in your region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the remedial sector, developing strong relationships with clients in mentioned sectors.
- Market Analysis: Analyze local market trends and industry developments to identify areas for business expansion and maintain a competitive edge in your region.
- Project Management Oversight: Provide leadership in project management to ensure exceptional quality and meet client expectations in all remedial work.
- Sales & Proposal Development: Lead proposal development, pricing, and sales efforts, ensuring competitive and comprehensive bids.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage teams of project engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact and representing company values and commitment to excellence.
- Reporting & KPI Monitoring: Track business development progress, sales pipelines, and project KPIs to ensure targets are achieved.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development or regional management within the remedial, civil, or construction industries, preferably on Contractor-side.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of remedial techniques and solutions, including concrete repair, steel repair, cathodic protection, waterproofing, protective coatings, and structural strengthening.
- Technical Background: Strong knowledge of civil and structural principles, ideally with a technical background in engineering.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent interpersonal skills to foster client and team relationships.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation, proposal development, and strategic sales skills, with a proven ability to drive revenue and growth.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and effectively.
