Role Overview

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year is on offer for this exciting opportunity as an Energy Project Coordination Specialist at Tesla in Melbourne. This full-time position is part of the Sales Engineering team and focuses on driving energy projects forward.

About the Role

This role offers the chance to support utility-scale battery storage projects across Australia. You will be responsible for assisting with key relationships and stakeholder communication, submittals and documentation management, project scheduling and delivery, and participating in policy support and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with key relationships and stakeholder communication
  • Coordinate interactions and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, network service providers, network operators, and internal engineering teams
  • Ensure timely submission of all required studies and documentation related to interconnection
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, monitor progress against milestones, and ensure timely delivery in alignment with committed timelines
  • Support coordination among different teams, including Tesla policy teams and internal technical teams, to address key National Electricity Rules (NER) developments and reforms

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in process administration and project coordination (within the energy or renewables sector desired)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering (desired but not essential)
  • Understanding of the energy sector, familiarity with the National Electricity Market (NEM) or similar regulatory frameworks, grid connection processes, and renewable energy sources (desired but not essential)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Project planning and coordination capability, including tracking progress against milestones
