Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and optimize the performance of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the APAC region.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery from contract execution to successful handover to operations, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
  • Serve as a trusted partner for end customers, focusing on on-time, on-budget delivery, risk reduction, and proactive identification of enhancement opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, working on multiple projects simultaneously, and contributing to a global team effort.
  • Maintain strong client relations through progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders, and responses to client inquiries, providing exceptional customer experience.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners to plan, sequence, develop schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plans, and other support requirements for assigned projects.
  • Supervise EPC and construction contractors' activities associated with installation, civil foundations, electrical cabling infrastructure, fiber optic communications work, fencing, etc.
  • Ensure cost, time, quality, and project execution adhere to the contact schedule and budget, tracking progress against established project plans and critical milestones.
  • Develop recovery action plans to alter or update schedules and resource allocation as needed to meet schedule requirements.
  • Promote adherence to approved plans, specifications, and governing codes, identifying deficient contractor work, monitoring, and verifying corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Quality specialists on-site to ensure Contractors' compliance with approved Contractor's Quality Plan.
  • Maintain thorough records of work performed by completing and submitting daily construction reports and monthly project reports.
  • Control submittals, scheduling, receiving, reviewing, approving, and expediting submittals from suppliers and subcontractors to comply with progress schedules.
  • Deploy company controls and discipline to support Change Order Management, approvals, and processes for both company representatives' requests and subcontractors.
  • Ensure HSEQ compliance with all company processes and procedures during project execution, including site construction, zero harm, and rectifications as required.
  • Manage Grid modeling process and Inverter modeling to achieve connection and commissioning approval from AEMO or similar authorities or regulators.
  • Communicate project progress, escalations, issue analysis, and lessons learned to key stakeholders, implementing changes to product, process, or program plans to resolve escalated issues.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, or related field) or Management.
  • 7+ years' experience in managing electrical infrastructure projects such as sub-stations, wind farms, solar/PV farms, gas-based power plants, power stations, utility-scale power, data center projects.
  • 2+ years of BESS or PV project experience preferred.
  • Independent oversight of large multi-million-dollar projects.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience in permitting/planning processes with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Primavera P6 experience beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
