Job Summary

We are seeking a Community Outreach Officer to work in the Sydney District. The successful candidate will provide essential community services and support to clients, including those with complex needs.

About the Role:
  • Deliver client-focused community services and support to meet client needs
  • Work directly with clients and support services to deliver housing assistance options
  • Visit clients in their homes on a regular scheduled basis
  • Work with clients to resolve arrears and/or property care concerns
  • Provide support and advice to resolve instances of anti-social behaviour within tenancies and surrounding neighbourhoods
  • Collaborate in a team environment to achieve key performance indicators
  • Link in with government and non-government services to provide specialist support to individuals and families

  • Strong commitment to delivering culturally sensitive customer service
  • Ability to work flexibly and at times that support engagement with people experiencing homelessness
  • Commitment to delivering better outcomes for clients
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
