About Our Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing homelessness in Sydney and the wider community.

This role requires a strong connection with the Aboriginal community, as well as a deep understanding of why people become homeless. The ideal candidate will have experience working with consumers who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders, and possess the ability to advocate for permanent housing solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide outreach services and support individuals at risk of losing their tenancy once housed. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is essential to achieving our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outreach services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing homelessness
  • Provide advocacy support to access permanent housing solutions
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality services
