Community Outreach Coordinator Job

The role of a Community Outreach Coordinator is vital in fostering connections between individuals in social housing and the broader community. This position entails building and maintaining relationships with local residents, identifying challenges they face, and developing strategies to overcome these obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish rapport with tenants to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tenant participation groups, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth.
  • Cultivate volunteering opportunities within the community, coordinating training and information sessions as needed.
  • Engage with isolated or hard-to-reach tenants to break down barriers to participation.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and service providers.

Requirements for Success:

  • A relevant degree or diploma in community services, community development, health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community development, preferably with a focus on outreach and engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver's license.
