This role involves ensuring that inmates are treated fairly and humanely in custodial centres throughout New South Wales (NSW).

About The Position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular visits to custodial centres to monitor conditions and treatment of inmates.
  • Meet with inmates to discuss their concerns and resolve any issues or complaints they may have.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote positive outcomes for inmates.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
