Desktop Support Specialist

Datacom is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our End User Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers, ensuring their IT needs are met with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Assist new users with IT hardware collection and setup, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
- Ensure new equipment is up-to-date and deployment-ready prior to release to customers, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Record all customer interactions in our ITSM tool, providing accurate and detailed documentation.
- Communicate progress updates to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Utilize tools and processes to deliver services in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and process optimization.
- Initiate and drive service and process improvements, contributing to the continuous evolution of our IT services.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Exceptional customer experience skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support.
- The ability to prioritize work effectively, ensuring achievement of all service level agreements.
- Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment, BYOD, and mobility.
