Job Overview:

The role of Senior Workforce Manager involves providing strategic leadership and direction in the development, integration, review, and coordination of workforce management issues.

This pivotal position plays a key part in managing organisational change through effective workforce policies and programs, influencing outcomes to meet Workforce objectives.

As a General Manager of Workforce Services, you will be responsible for the efficient general management of the workforce function within a medium-sized facility to ensure quality customer-focused human resource and advisory functions that meet the needs of the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, motivate, and manage a professional workforce services team in providing full-range Workforce services across complex business environments to achieve organisational goals.
  • Experience in integrating workforce issues into strategic planning processes and managing change processes in diverse organisations.
  • Resolve issues and make important workforce decisions based on legal, statutory, and industrial standards incorporating employment, award compliance, remuneration, disciplinary action, grievances, discrimination, retraining, redeployment, and safety issues.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Business, or other relevant fields, and/or extensive professional experience in senior-level human resources management in large diverse service industry organisations.
