Commercial Contracts Professional

We are seeking an experienced and committed Commercial Contracts Manager to provide commercial support and drive favorable commercial outcomes for our business in the Australasian region.

The role encompasses reviewing and negotiating tenders, customer supply contracts, and addressing a broad range of other commercial issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent commercial sense, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex contract provisions.

About the Role:

  • Support commercial contract negotiations, including coordinating reviews within tender deadlines and obtaining required input/approvals from stakeholders and legal teams.
  • Oversee the execution and compliance of contracts, including managing variation requests and change orders.
  • Have knowledge of commercial risk management and be able to review and understand business risks.
  • Support the Regional Strategic Leadership team on commercial issues as they arise.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to our zero-harm behaviors in support of developing a world-class safety culture.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tender and/or commercial contract management, preferably in the mining/engineering/construction industry.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand commercial ramifications of contract provisions and translate contract provisions for stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak fluently about business priorities, risks, and challenges.
  • Good commercial sense and strong contracting skills.
