Eligibility Entitlement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Eligibility Entitlement Specialist to join our team at Da Home Care. As an Eligibility Entitlement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the eligibility function by providing senior technical advice and support to Eligibility Officers relating to complex Eligibility decisions.
You will engage with various parties, both internally and externally, to ensure that all factors are being taken into consideration relating to making sustainable eligibility decisions. Your expertise will be utilized to provide coaching and mentoring to more junior team members within the Eligibility space to increase their capability and promote growth and learning within eligibility overall.

Key Responsibilities- Providing a cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused workers compensation claims management service for all clients by supporting the Eligibility team members to make sustainable and fair decisions relating to the lodgment of Workers Compensation claims.
- Determining liability for claims of a complex nature within the designated timeframe.
- Acting as a technical reference point for other team members, such as Eligibility Officers, by providing technical advice and mentoring with a view to increase capability and reach the right outcome for Injured Workers and Employers as well as the Work Cover scheme.
- Collaborating with other claims departments, such as our Legal, Technical, and Dispute Resolution teams, to deliver sustainable and well-informed decisions that are supported by holistic reviews based on input and advice from our broader teams of claims experts.
We are looking for a Workers Compensation expert who has:
- A high level of workers compensation claims management technical expertise, or strong knowledge relating to determining Eligibility for Workers Compensation claims is essential.
- Strong client and customer engagement and relationship building expertise.
- Knowledge of general business and administrative practices.
- Excellent knowledge and application of the Accident Compensation Act.
- High level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.
