About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager Agronomy to join our team in Emerald, QLD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships in the major agricultural region of Central Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm.
  • Gain exposure to an agriculture area where a diverse range of irrigated and dryland field crops are grown, including sorghum, cotton, sunflowers, wheat, chickpeas, and mung beans.
  • Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers who have significant experience partnering with producers.
  • Be responsible for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.
  • Build solid and long-term client relationships, and develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
  • Maintain relationships with a healthy list of existing customers, with room to target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.
  • Stay up to date with the latest plant production practices together with running and coordinating field days and farmer meetings.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service. You will have a strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application, and a history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products and applications applicable to those crops grown in the region.

You will demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, and a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field is essential. A current driver's license is also required.
