About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager Agronomy to join our team in Emerald, QLD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships in the major agricultural region of Central Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm.
  • Gain exposure to an agriculture area where a diverse range of irrigated and dryland field crops are grown, including sorghum, cotton, sunflowers, wheat, chickpeas, and mung beans.
  • Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers and producers.
  • Responsibility for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.
  • Build solid and long-term client relationships, and develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers, with room to target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.
  • Stay up to date with the latest plant production practices, and run and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.

About You:

  • Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service.
  • A history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products and application applicable to those crops grown in the region.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field, and a current driver's license.
  • Experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser.
