The Youth Justice Directorate is responsible for supervising children and young people in contact with the justice system in Victoria.
Our team works to address the causes of offending behaviour and help young people achieve positive change in their lives.
Key Responsibilities- We are seeking a skilled Project Officer to support the delivery of strategic projects within the Youth Justice Directorate.
- Responsibilities include contributing to project planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Supporting risk and issue management, and preparing documentation and reports.
- You will contribute to shaping project priorities and responding to complex issues.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- A tertiary qualification in public administration or a similar field is desirable.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organisation, and time management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Current driver's license.
This is an ongoing position based at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct.
You will contribute to the successful delivery of a range of strategic projects within the Youth Justice Directorate.
The position requires regular travel to the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have- Experience in the Youth Justice Custodial environment.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a broader team.
- High-level interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship abilities.
- Ability to determine priorities under tight deadlines.
- Current driver's license.
