About Strategic Project Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled project coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal function in maintaining oversight of our organisation's project portfolio.

This role is responsible for coordinating and tracking the delivery of strategic and operational projects across various areas, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and effective investment of resources.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program or portfolio coordination within complex environments, strong governance and analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Tracking and Monitoring: Track delivery of projects and initiatives, monitor milestones, benefits, and risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Governance and Assurance: Facilitate governance and assurance processes, including Project Control Groups, to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Prepare high-quality reporting and dashboards for executive leadership to inform decision-making and drive project success.
  • Project Investments and Budgets: Monitor project investments, budgets, and value delivery to support informed decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with sponsors, project leads, and stakeholders to gather insights and support delivery, fostering collaboration and open communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Program Coordination Experience: Extensive experience in program or portfolio coordination within complex or public sector environments.
  • Project Governance Frameworks: Familiarity with project governance frameworks and tools such as PRINCE2, PMBoK, or MSP.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, or public administration.
