About the Role

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is a critical position at Sacred Heart College, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, facility improvements, and contractor processes.

This role is essential in ensuring that maintenance activities align with the strategic goals of the College, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and optimal use of resources.

The manager will lead a cohesive team, coordinate projects to minimize disruption, handle financial management of maintenance expenditures, and support the College community by ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and ready for various events and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, facility improvements, and contractor processes
  • Lead a cohesive team and coordinate projects to minimize disruption
  • Handle financial management of maintenance expenditures
  • Support the College community by ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and ready for various events and activities
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Technical expertise in various building systems and maintenance tasks
  • Practical knowledge of facility management software
  • Project management experience in overseeing and executing facility improvement projects
  • Budget management experience in managing large budgets for maintenance operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Associate degree or relevant certifications combined with extensive experience
