Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Veolia, a global leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive profitable growth through ensuring opportunities align with regional and global commercial priorities.

You will work closely with the Global Commercial Director and ES regional structure to develop suitable commercial strategies, focusing on deal structuring, commercial strategy, scope of supply, execution model, value generation, long-term service tails, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing commercial direction on opportunities to align them with ES global and regional priorities.
  • Driving growth and profitable opportunities by challenging teams to expand the Veolia portfolio offering and market pricing.
  • Creating a culture of customer centricity built on best practices through value generation, industry and application knowledge, and expertise.
  • Reviewing deal structure & commercial strategy for all ES Projects Proposals, working closely with ITO leaders.
  • Ensuring appropriate triggers related to project size/investments are taken care of, securing necessary approvals.
  • Managing the investment committee review process and chairing global WIN calls as required.
  • Bid Management is primarily the responsibility of the ITO team, but you will provide mentoring/coaching support and become part of large bids to guide on Risk Management aspects.
  • Updating Project opportunities in SFDC and tracking them accurately, analyzing Win ratio, and providing insights to leadership and ITO teams.
  • Cross-functional team engagement, leveraging region's best practices, resource sharing, cost out/standardization implementation, and winning in APAC markets.
  • Developing Medium Term plans for the region, consolidating MTP for APAC, following up on strategy consistency, and regular reviews to drive outcomes.
  • Acting as a Regional sounding board to ITO leaders and connecting with other Regional Commercial Leaders to capture best practices and share with APAC teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales or commercial functions.
  • Previous experience in extended scope structured projects, long-term services, water outsourcing contracts, and project financing would be beneficial.
  • Excellent customer focus, good communication skills, engaged leadership, influencing skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to execution.
