About Employment Relations Role

We are seeking a seasoned employment relations professional to partner with our business units and provide specialist advice on employment relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance to management on employment arrangements, performance management, misconduct, personal illness, discrimination, sexual harassment, victimisation and bullying.
  • Support employees and management to settle employee disputes and workplace grievances by advising on and conducting internal investigations or early resolution meetings.
  • Drafting and advising on employment contracts from appointment through to disciplinary processes, formal warnings and terminations.
  • Participate in conciliations/mediations including applications for unfair dismissal and adverse action.
  • Assist the Senior Leadership team in implementing a strategic and consistent Employment Relations approach across the group.
  • Prepare board reports and other reports on relevant matters as directed and required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in employment law with experience working in a commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Employment Law, Fair Work Act and ER procedures and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and tenacity to think creatively.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage a number of cases and competing priorities.
  • A skilled communicator capable of engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
