About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team at AMES Australasia. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience in generalist HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and workplace health and safety. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to management and employees, and for developing and implementing HR initiatives that support the achievement of our business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing HR advice and guidance to management and employees on a range of HR-related matters, including employment law, workplace policies and procedures, and employee relations.
  2. Developing and implementing HR initiatives that support the achievement of our business objectives, including recruitment and selection, training and development, and workplace health and safety.
  3. Conducting investigations into workplace incidents and complaints, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  4. Providing training and coaching to employees on HR-related matters, including employment law, workplace policies and procedures, and employee relations.
  5. Developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, and workplace policies.
  6. Providing support to management on HR-related matters, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, and workplace health and safety.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in human resources, with experience in generalist HR activities.
  • A tertiary qualification in human resources management or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with management and employees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Intermediate-Advanced MS Office skills.
