About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SMB Account Executive to join our team at Zendesk, Inc. This role is a key part of our sales strategy, and we're looking for someone with a proven track record in B2B sales and a passion for driving growth in the SaaS landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Top-Line Revenue Growth: Acquire new customers and develop strategies for account expansion to drive revenue growth.
  2. Manage and Nurture Customer Relationships: Ensure high satisfaction and retention levels by managing and nurturing customer relationships.
  3. Identify and Pursue Cross-Selling Opportunities: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers to optimize account revenue and profitability.
  4. Use Data Insights to Enhance Sales Strategies: Use data insights, customer intents, and adoption history to effectively prospect new clients and enhance retention strategies.
  5. Understand and Convey the Benefits of Zendesk Products: Understand and convey the benefits of Zendesk products, aligning them with customers' business objectives to ensure customer satisfaction and product expansion.
  6. Lead Competitive Sales Cycles: Lead competitive sales cycles utilizing strong communication skills and value selling to articulate compelling business cases.
  7. Develop a Robust Pipeline of Qualified Opportunities: Consistently develop a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities accurately tracking details and sales stages in Salesforce.
  8. Provide Accurate Forecasts and Exceed Revenue Goals: Provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  9. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal teams to enhance sales strategies and streamline sales execution.
  10. Exceed Activity and Pipeline KPIs: Exceed weekly and monthly activity and pipeline KPIs.
Requirements
  1. BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience: A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
  2. At Least 2 Years of B2B Sales Experience: At least 2 years of B2B sales or solution engineering experience, preferably in the SaaS industry with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
  3. Experience in Managing and Expanding Customer Relationships: Experience in managing and expanding customer relationships at various levels.
  4. Strong Presentation, Negotiation, and Deal-Closing Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
  5. Strong Account Research, Prospecting, and Customer Outreach Skills: Strong account research, prospecting, and customer outreach skills.
  6. Entrepreneurial Spirit, Collaboration Skills, and Drive for Continuous Professional Growth: An entrepreneurial spirit, strong collaboration skills, and a drive for continuous professional growth.
