**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to lead our Sydney-based accounting team and drive financial excellence in our global asset management operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee the end-to-end company accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures.
  • Lead a small team, including an Accounting Associate, to achieve business objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality monthly management accounts and quarterly board reporting, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage the year-end audit and financial reporting process, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Evaluate and implement tax compliance strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize returns.
  • Monitor and review the deliverables of external fund accountants, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinate fund-related payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

**Requirements/Qualifications:**

  • At least 8 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in accounting and leadership.
  • An accounting degree, preferably with postgraduate qualifications, demonstrating expertise in financial principles and practices.
  • Prior team leadership experience, showcasing ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Superb communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

**Compensation:** The salary for this role is competitive and variable based on prior relevant experience. A suitable range would be around $145,000-$170,000 per annum, plus superannuation and bonus incentives.
