As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing risk management strategies that ensure the safe and compliant delivery of our asset management products and services. Your expertise will drive business growth while maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance.

About the Role:

  • You will lead the first line of defence in integrating and implementing new risk and compliance methodologies across our Asset Management business.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify and monitor key risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Coordinate and prioritise activities to deliver successful risk and compliance outcomes.
  • Undertake risk assessments, incident management, and control evaluations to maintain a robust risk framework.
  • Oversee projects to ensure adherence to risk and compliance requirements, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and present insightful risk and compliance reports to drive informed decision-making.

What You'll Bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive equivalent experience in Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, or Law.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within the asset management sector, preferably with a background in fund origination and fund management.
  • PREFERRED: 10+ years' experience in operational risk and compliance, ideally within the financial services sector, with a strong focus on asset management or funds management.
  • In-depth knowledge of managed investment schemes and wholesale funds, including regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills, with a strong service ethic and leadership style.
  • Experience in change management and project delivery, particularly in relation to risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and driving teams to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in a dynamic business environment.

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. This role is based in Sydney, with hybrid working arrangements that promote work-life balance and flexibility.
