Australia - IT Security Specialist - Sydney

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team at LZ Security & Service GmbH. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our security systems, conducting security assessments, and contributing to incident response activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Operations: Monitor and maintain all security systems, including firewalls, DLP, antivirus, and event logs, to detect unauthorized access and potential malicious activity.
- Security Assessments: Conduct regular vulnerability penetration testing, reporting, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Incident Response: Contribute to incident response activities, including analysis of security breaches and remediation of issues to decrease cyber security risk exposure.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain compliance with global and local regulatory, commercial, and customer obligations, including regular user access reviews and verification of third-party vendor security.
- Business Continuity: Participate in business continuity activities related to information security.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Security within a national organization.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of security principles, frameworks, and regulations (NIST, ISO27001, ACSC Essential 8, CPS234, SOC2), global Data Protection and Privacy regulations, and hands-on experience in Security Operations.
- Education and Certifications: Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent Technology qualification, and relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO, PCI.
