About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Cyber Security professionals to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO). As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our organisation's systems and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and detect malicious activity on ASIO systems
  • Analyse security event logs, network traffic, and system activity to identify and understand security threats
  • Respond to security incidents by investigating and resolving malicious activity
  • Implement threat intelligence to improve threat detection
  • Develop and maintain documentation of security incidents
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on the latest cyber security threats
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Relevant certifications within cyber security (e.g. SANS GIAC, CISSIP, CISM)
  • Experience with security technologies such as SIEM systems, vulnerability management tools, and incident response tools
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards
  • Experience in the design, implementation and/or maintenance of enterprise systems
