About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Security Engineer to join our team at Zone IT Solutions. As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough application security assessments and analyze vulnerabilities to identify potential security risks.
  • Develop and implement secure coding practices and guidelines to ensure the highest level of security for our applications.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform regular security audits and risk assessments of applications and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest application security trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain secure.
  • Provide training and support to development teams on secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of application security best practices and frameworks.
  • Experience with manual and automated penetration testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with web application security tools such as Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CSSLP are preferred but not required.
