About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Contract Negotiator to join our client, a leading service provider based in Melbourne's South East.

As a key member of the procurement and supply chain team, you will play a vital role in driving process improvements in contract management and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders to understand their contract needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Monitor contract performance and take corrective action if necessary to maintain high-quality services
  • Support the procurement team in strategic decisions, driving business growth through effective contract management
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in contract management to stay ahead of the curve
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in contract management, with a strong track record of negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Excellent understanding of contract law and compliance regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve business objectives
