Roy Morgan Research seeks a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Operations Director to lead its Operational Group.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership of the Operational Group, covering data capture, processing, and delivery.

The purpose of this role is to drive operational efficiency and quality, while providing strategic direction to meet company objectives. This includes responsibility for the division's budget and management of all staff, including over 1000 casual interviewing staff.

We are looking for a senior professional with experience leading all facets of market research operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in managing departments to hit strategic and operational goals, and a deep understanding of the current market research industry environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and directing the operational group to achieve highest efficiency and quality standards.
  • Working in partnership with the Executive team to plan and implement changes to production of our products in line with our strategic objectives.
  • Providing financial, people, and operational reports on performance of the division to the Executive group.
  • Undertaking research into complex operational issues and providing advice and recommendations on alternatives and options that support service delivery and resolve operational problems.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years' experience working in senior operational management roles.
  • A proven ability to build and optimise highly efficient work teams and departments.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing departments to hit strategic and operational goals.
  • Experience working across operational functions, preferably in the market research industry.
  • An understanding of current market research industry environment, including technology and business trends.
  • Proven ability to manage and negotiate contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • High level analytical and research skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience.
