Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Catering Operations Manager to join our team at ISS Facility Management Pty Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the catering operations at our client's site in Wacol, QLD.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Catering Team: Lead and manage a team of catering staff, including the Café Supervisor, Chef, and Café Attendants, to ensure the safe and high-quality provision of catering services to staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Operational Management: Effectively manage the daily operations of the catering team, including monitoring food and beverage requirements, ensuring accurate meal volumes, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleaning.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all catering services meet the required quality standards, adhering to ISS and client policies and procedures.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate the recruitment process for catering staff and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on catering operations, including the monthly contract report, and maintain regular communication with the relevant manager.
- Customer Service Focus: Demonstrate a customer service focus, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Time Management and Organization: Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage workflow and priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Leadership and Adaptability: Show a strong work ethic, lead by example, and demonstrate a flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Technical Skills: Possess intermediate to advanced level skills in core Microsoft packages, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate knowledge of safety issues relevant to the trade and a strong commitment to safe working practices, with the ability to pass an Australian National Police Check.
- Food and Beverage Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience within the food and beverage environment.
- Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Teamwork and Self-Motivation: Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment, with self-motivation, organization, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
