About the Role

Sulzer Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Maitland Service Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality machining services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes up to 100t with precision and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret complex mechanical drawings with ease.
  • Repair or replace components such as shafts, gears, seals, impellers, and more.
  • Collaborate with a talented team in a safety-conscious environment.
  • Utilize measuring equipment and maintain accurate check sheets.

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate III Fitter and Turner.
  • Experience in mechanical machining of large equipment (pumps, fans, gearboxes, turbines).
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in accordance with quality assurance procedures.
