Our Operations Team

We work with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger, and general freight.

The Operations teams work within complex environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia. They deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable service delivery outcomes for customers, stakeholders, and the community.

About This Opportunity

This role involves delivering work allocated by the Work Group Leader (Signals) or Area Manager to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of a designated section of rail corridor.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair signalling and communication equipment in accordance with technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices, and safeworking procedures.
  • Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.
  • Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking, interlocking devices, infrastructure, and equipment.

What You'll Need

  • A qualified Electrician with relevant trade or technical experience.
  • Knowledge of or an awareness of WHS principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
  • Experience in fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Current Class C drivers licence.
  • ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03).

Estimated Salary Range: AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 Per Year
