About this role

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume a leadership position within our Stakeholder Engagement and Government Relations team.

  • Proactively coordinate and advise on stakeholder engagement initiatives, providing guidance to senior stakeholders as needed.
  • Support the Chair, Board, and CEO in their external relationships, fostering effective connections with key industry stakeholders, including Ministers and senior executives.
  • Cultivate direct relationships with senior executives and collaborate closely with teams across the agency to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders, encompassing Ministers, government entities, market bodies, and industry advocates.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Skill Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing strategic advice on stakeholder and government relations, ideally within a Federal Government or State Government setting.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, enabling the provision of clear and concise advice through briefings and correspondence.
  • Proven ability to manage senior executive relationships with key stakeholders, building trust and credibility through open and transparent communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to analyze information and make timely decisions that drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and/or contributing to the development of communications plans, ensuring cohesive messaging and targeted outreach efforts.
Requirements

Candidates must be Australian citizens and possess a valid Australian Government security clearance.
