Position Overview:

As a Local Area Engagement Consultant at InvoCare, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing local marketing strategies, working closely with the Regional Manager and business unit leaders. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our brand presence and service delivery in local communities by fostering strong relationships with businesses, community groups, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience and Engagement:

  • Embody InvoCare's values and culture, promoting a culture of excellence in all interactions.
  • Represent InvoCare positively in the community, engaging in local networks and promotions to strengthen our brand.
  • Drive a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring our clients understand the value of our services.

Core Growth:

  • Monitor and report on territory risks, opportunities, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop strong business networks and relationships with key influencers and community groups to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to create and implement strategic local area engagement plans.

New Growth and Innovation:

  • Develop and implement sales plans targeting new market segments in collaboration with business units to drive revenue growth.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and InvoCare policies, maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.
  • Promote quality customer service, cost-effective resource management, and continuous process improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High level of self-motivation with the ability to follow structured work plans and meet performance targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage across diverse demographics and build strong relationships.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record of achieving financial performance targets.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain local business and community relationships, with experience working with diverse geographical teams.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills with key stakeholders, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in the funeral/death industry or healthcare, with a deep understanding of the industry's nuances and challenges.
