About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join EssenceMediacom as a Global Business Operations Director, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities within a client team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for working closely with Client Services and Product Leadership to develop clear scopes of work and commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Scopes of Work: You will work closely with Client Services and Product Leadership to create comprehensive scopes of work that meet client expectations.
  • Commercial Proposals: You will assist in developing analysis and presentations to inform scope and commercial conversations with clients.
  • Client Demand and Resource Needs: You will maintain an accurate view of client demand and resource needs by working with Client Services.
  • Resource Strategies: You will collaborate with Resource Management to develop resource strategies that optimize financial performance, ensure timely delivery, and meet client expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Timesheet Review: You will review and approve timesheets submitted by team members, following up with them to resolve any inaccuracies.
  • Data Accuracy: You will help ensure Resource Management and Finance have accurate and timely data to run resource utilization and financial performance reporting.
  • Operational Recommendations: You will share recommendations on how work can be better managed to meet financial targets.
  • Client Billing Process: You will lead the client billing process, ensuring reconciliation of media spend and completion of invoicing in line with client agreements.
Leading the Delivery of Work
  • Project Planning: You will translate scopes of work into effective project plans that meet client expectations on time and on budget.
  • Resource Allocation: You will partner with Resource Management to ensure the right resources are allocated and enabled to deliver work effort.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination: You will coordinate efforts across the cross-functional team, including daily huddles to maintain context and overcome challenges.
  • Status Updates: You will share regular status updates with the Head of APAC Operations and Client Services, escalating challenges as necessary.
Driving Operational Effectiveness
  • Process Improvement: You will support the Head of APAC Operations in implementing agreed-upon changes to improve the way the team works together.
  • Education and Training: You will help educate team members on the end-to-end Essence Campaign Delivery Process and direct them towards supporting Quality Standards.
  • Process Adherence: You will help track adherence to Process and Quality Standards, encouraging their use and resolving barriers to adoption.
  • Operational Recommendations: You will regularly share operational recommendations to improve the way we work, helping implement necessary improvements within the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4-8 years' experience, ideally including time within a media agency and/or from management consulting companies.
  • Skills and Qualifications: A solid understanding of project management methodologies, data-driven analytical skills, strong communication and relationship-building abilities, and a can-do attitude.
