Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the creation and execution of a cohesive data strategy that aligns with our departmental goals.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders to define KPIs, understand data collection methods, and improve performance reporting.
  • Oversee high-priority data initiatives, including performance dashboards and sector-specific insights.
  • Identify data assets, gaps, and inconsistencies across agencies and develop effective solutions.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable metrics, enabling better benchmarking, tracking, and alignment with government objectives.
Requirements
  • A seasoned data leader with exceptional technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, delivering, and governing large-scale data strategies, with a proven track record of applying quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, providing outcome-focused advice that drives results.
  • A collaborative approach to navigating complex organisational landscapes, focusing on connecting people, data, and purpose.
  • Government or regulated industry experience is beneficial; the ability to assess and improve data environments is essential.
