Chief Data Officer, Strategic Alignment and Innovation

The role of Chief Data Officer, Strategic Alignment and Innovation is critical in driving the success of our organisation through effective data governance and strategic decision-making. This position will be responsible for developing and leading our enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring seamless data flow across the organisation, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead our enterprise-wide data strategy, aligning with business goals and objectives.
  • Establish a robust data governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating data risks.
  • Chair the Data Governance Council, promoting collaboration and engagement among data domain leaders.
  • Define and implement analytics, data visualisation, and insights strategies, leveraging distributed analytics teams across the business.
  • Drive the evolution of our data and information culture, championing Data Literacy and maturity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote ResMed's strategy and advance key competitive advantages.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide data strategies, governance frameworks, and analytics initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, stewardship, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of data policies and embed governance into business operations.
  • Previous expertise in data visualisation, storytelling, and advanced analytics to influence decision-making.
  • Experience with scalable infrastructure, data platforms, and machine learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and experience preparing for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and change management skills to promote a data-literate culture.
