Job Title: Highway Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Professional to conduct various tasks under close supervision. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our highway maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and clear culverts regularly.
  • Maintain and clear brush from roadsides on a daily basis.
  • Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders promptly.
  • Assist in storm cleanup efforts.
  • Repair fences and signs as needed.
  • Remove litter and debris from highways.
  • Respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Operate equipment used in highway maintenance safely.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and brooms effectively.
  • Use power tools like chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, and backpack blowers efficiently.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving experience.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
  • Demonstrate accurate eye-hand coordination.
  • Show ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and schedules.
