Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Support Specialist. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

About the Role:

  • Provide exceptional support services to clients and their families/carers
  • Support people with disabilities to achieve their individual goals and objectives
  • Assist with daily living skills, social integration, and physical well-being
  • Implement Individual Care Plans and programs that are age-appropriate and relevant to individual goals

Requirements:

  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Vaccination Category A
  • Fit for Work Assessment
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Orientation (Quality and You)
  • Current First aid and CPR certificate
  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Completion of qualification, Certificate III Disability/Personal/Indivdual Support (Descriptor: Disability support Worker)

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Relevant certificate in Disability (Cert 111 or IV in disability)
  • Australian citizen/permanent resident or valid work visa
  • Demonstrated recent acute care experience as a registered nurse
