Disability Support Worker Job Description

A Disability Support Worker is required to provide exceptional support to NDIS participants and help them achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will be able to develop positive relationships with clients and support their individual care plans.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate 3 or 4 in disability/individual support and a current Australian Driver's Licence and vehicle. They will also have experience working with mental health, complex and challenging behaviors, and high physical support needs.

The role involves administering or assisting participants with medications, supporting participants to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, and developing and implementing programs to grow their living skills and abilities.

Other tasks include supporting participants with various household tasks, implementing personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviors and/or high physical support needs, and all tasks will be completed either in the participants' residence or within our group homes.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $26.00 - $59.00 per hour and a range of benefits including shift work and flexible scheduling.
