Job Description:
You will be responsible for cultivating positive relationships within local and regional Indigenous communities, providing support to our partners in delivering contractual obligations and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organisations and leaders within the local regions in which we operate.
- Support our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation and diversity.
- Contribute to the design and execution of programs aimed at advancing reconciliation and diversity within our organisation.
- Act as a liaison between our organisation and local Indigenous stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Attend community events and engage in networking activities to strengthen local Indigenous connections.
- Support in the provision of information pertaining to Indigenous content for tender proposals as requested by the team.
- Work with our Employee Communication and Indigenous Relations Manager to form an aligned approach on delivering key objectives as defined within our Indigenous Strategy plan.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Studies or related field (desirable).
- Proven experience in a strategic Indigenous relations or engagement role with a key focus on managing Indigenous community members, groups, organisations or businesses.
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and current issues.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
