Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Indigenous Banking Specialist.

About the Role

This role is part of our Indigenous Customer Assistance Line (ICAL), which aims to provide a relevant banking service for remote Indigenous customers in Far North QLD, NT, WA & far North SA. As an ICAL team member, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous customers and communities, ensuring they have access to the Bank's wide range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering outstanding customer service on the phone to customers, answering questions about their banking, promoting self-service options, and identifying issues and service gaps.
  • Working with stakeholders, Community and Government Services, to support the bigger picture of assisting Indigenous customers with their everyday banking.
  • Conducting presentations and liaising with internal stakeholders across the Bank.
  • Building rapport quickly with customers and taking enquiries from end to end.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer and community engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with communities, stakeholders, and other government and non-government agencies.
  • Strong customer service experience with excellent attention to detail.
What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including professional development opportunities and a dynamic work environment.
